Here’s all that You Need to Know Before

Your First Appointment

We request you to please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any necessary paperwork. Each appointment lasts 50 minutes. We offer after-hours and Saturday appointments. If you have previous assessments or investigations from a medical specialist or allied health professional, kindly bring them with you.

Fee Structure

Fees are based on the structure recommended by the Australian Psychological Society. Full payment is required at the time of your consultation. We accept EFTPOS payments (Visa, Mastercard, and debit cards).

Medicare Rebates

If you are referred by a GP under a Mental Health Care Plan, directly by a Psychiatrist or a Paediatrician, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 48-hour cancellation window and rescheduling policy. Cancellations made after this period will be subject to the full fee. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact the clinic as early as possible to allow others on the waiting list to book Medicare. Kindly note that private health insurance does not cover fees for missed or cancelled appointments.

Separated Parent Policy

We understand the challenges of co-parenting during times of separation. Our goal is to ensure the emotional and psychological well-being of the children we care for. This policy outlines our approach to supporting separated families, prioritising the child’s best interests.

  • Respectful Collaboration

We expect separated parents to collaborate respectfully regarding their child’s care. Major decisions, like starting medication or interventions, should be made jointly by both parents whenever possible.

  • Providing Legal Documents

Parents are responsible for providing any relevant legal documents or court orders related to their child’s care.

  • Involvement in Appointments and Reports

Either parent or legal guardian can schedule, attend, and receive reports from appointments unless restricted by a court order. If such restrictions exist, please provide the court order at your first visit.

  • Communication and Feedback

The parent who schedules the appointment must inform the other parent, invite them to attend, and share feedback. Reports will be sent to the attending parent, who is responsible for sharing them with the other parent. Upon request, we can provide copies of correspondence to both parents.

  • Payment and Legal Agreements

Payment is required on the day of the appointment. If legal agreements dictate that the other parent should cover part or all costs, the attending parent is responsible for payment and seeking reimbursement. We do not offer split billing.

  • Conflict Resolution and Service Limitations

In cases of significant conflict, we may request court orders, obtain both parents’ consent, or limit our services until the issue is resolved. If a conflict disrupts the clinic or impedes the child’s care, we reserve the right to discharge the family from the clinic.

  • Legal Decision-Making Assessments

We do not conduct assessments solely for legal decision-making in custody matters.
